When using these spaces there are several laws you need to be aware of that work to protect other people’s creative endeavours. You must be aware of the laws in place to protect the Intellectual Property of others including Trademarks, Designs Protection and Copyright Protection.

It is imperative that before you interact with UniSQ innovation spaces you complete your ‘due diligence’ to ensure you are either creating a completely new and unique item or you have the correct permissions to reproduce someone else’s work. You will need to think about the different layers of protection available to intellectual property before commencing the physical creation of your project.
